I know where you are and I know how it feels because I AM you. Busy, anxious, overwhelmed, stressed and working SO hard to take care of all your responsibilities AND find time to get healthy and fit.

As a single, mom of two, I know juggling a career, family, friends, relationships and all of life’s challenges can be exhausting and overwhelming. For years I put my own health and well-being on the back burner because I was too busy taking care of everyone else.

When my kids were little I wouldn’t have made it through the day without diet coke and dry shampoo. Seriously! I was a walking zombie –  tired, sluggish, irritable and foggy.

My health journey began when my six-year-old son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Let me tell you, it scared the HELL out of me! I threw myself into studying and learning all about nutrition and I made some big changes for the sake of my kids, my family and myself.

Then, in 2019 I was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer. To say that that was a HUGE wakeup call is an understatement. I realized my life was centered on caring for everyone else (my kids, family, clients, etc.) except myself. Stress, lack of self care and not listening to my body’s messages (like being anxious and exhausted all the time and never feeling like I was good enough) was literally making me sick. And could have killed me.

I realized if I didn’t take care of myself, I couldn’t really take care of anyone else. You can’t pour from an empty cup. You can put it on auto-pilot but if you’re just going through the motions, nobody ever gets the best you – the real you. Not your kids, your spouse, your partner, your family, your friends or your co-workers.

Today I am completely cancer free and my life is sooooo much richer than I could ever have imagined. Not only do I have my health and energy back, I have more strength, joy and confidence than I ever thought possible!

Diet, exercise (or lack of), stress level and how you care for yourself – inside and out – literally determines the quality of the cells of your body. How you feel every day. Your energy level. Your mood. Your relationships. And the quality of the rest of your life.

When you start to nourish your own body, mind and spirit, you have energy and vitality and joy to share with everyone around you. And it is contagious!

Because of the changes I made, radical things began to happen. I went back to school  to become an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. I received my training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. And I became a certified personal trainer through Aerobics & Fitness Association of America.

I also made a difficult decision to end my 17-year, very stressful, toxic marriage. It wasn’t easy but it is one of the best decisions I have ever made.

If I hadn’t been strong and healthy and energetic, I never would have been able to make these changes…..To feel the fear and do it anyway.

I’ve taken control of my life, my eating habits and my thoughts. And I can tell you – IT IS AMAZING!!

It’s my passion to share what I have learned with you so that you can do the same. Become healthy, balanced, joyful and free.

My wish for you is to wake up every day feeling FABULOUS. To catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror and think, “WOW, I look good.” For you to eat foods you love that nourish and satisfy you and help you maintain a healthy weight. And for your energy and vibrancy to empower you to tackle the day, take risks, put yourself out there, and live your life to the fullest.
