I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed on the iHeartRadio station WNJR, The Power of EFT Tapping with Andrea Lewis.

In the interview, I discussed my breast cancer journey, mental health journey, and so much more. Being on the show allowed me to reflect on the many important life lessons I’ve learned that have shaped me and lead me to where I am today. Here are just a few.

Tapping into your “glow”.

If there’s one thing that you’ll often hear about whether you’ve worked with me or are browsing through my website, it’s this concept of “the glow,” or an energy that I truly believe exists within all of us.

A large part of my story was being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019 at age 47. Today, I am 2 and half years cancer free, but how I’ve bounced back both physically and emotionally and enriched my outlook on life is heavily attributed to this concept of my inner “glow.”

During my breast cancer journey, there were endless days where I felt beaten down, upset, and sad, something that I think many of us can relate to when life seems to really push us down. But, throughout it all, I had to muster up the energy that I had to continue tapping into my faith, and reminding myself that I, we, us, are all here for a reason.

Stillness and surrendering to your higher power.

As a women’s weight loss and body love coach, there’s no question that nurturing, supporting, and caring for others is a large part of who I am.

I’ve always loved control, and with my breast cancer journey as well as navigating my son’s type one diabetes diagnosis, there came a point where I had to accept being the vulnerable one.

It’s not, by any means, an easy journey to navigate, especially during life’s moments where we feel knocked down. But, every time I communicated with the spirit, my higher power, there’s one message that I continued to receive and had to learn to accept—sometimes, you need to be still.

It may not be an easy feat to accept, but sometimes we need to be still, trust in the process of the journey and remind ourselves that sometimes we really don’t need to be doing anything other than just receiving the message and flowing along with the journey that was destined for us.

The importance of building your “team”.

When it comes to navigating large life events or unexpected challenges in your life, sometimes it takes more than one resource to get you there. Building your community or your team is so important and can be the very thing that can give you strength.

For some, this can be a challenge. Sometimes we want to be the strong one and find it difficult to tap into others for strength and encouragement.

There’s always someone out there that can serve as a resource to help you get through your hurdles or challenges, and this is a large reason why I do what I do. I’ve been there, I’ve experienced the power of community for myself, and it was what gave me the strength to get through some of my toughest battles.

Whether it be your health journey, your weight loss journey, or your journey of self-love, I’m here for support and encouragement because you deserve to look and feel your best, forever.

I attribute some of my largest life experiences to the person I am today. I am so honored to be able to use what I’ve learned to inspire and help so many other women.

I hope some of these lessons have inspired you to reflect and step into the greatest version of yourself, as it did for me.
