If there’s one thing I believe many of us women can relate to, it’s that we tend to be hard on ourselves. Despite our successes, career goals, life goals, dreams and ambitions, it’s easy for us to get caught up on what we’re not doing right rather than celebrating our victories along the way.

Navigating mental health issues while also having a high volume of goals you want to achieve can be a difficult thing to work through. It may derail your efforts and set you back in your progress, but there are ways to push past your current and future obstacles, all while prioritizing how your mind and body feel.

So, what are some ways you can do this?

#1. Build a team of support

In order to accomplish and feel accomplished, you need to be healthy. Without your health, you won’t be able to get to a place where you feel fully satisfied with your progress, your achievements, or your efforts.

Do what you need to do to get the help that you need. Whether this be spending some extra time seeking the right doctors, health coaches, life coaches, therapists or more, your team will play a vital role in offering the support that you need, and most importantly, showing you that you will be okay during the hardest of times.

#2. Set a goal, then prioritize

We all have goals we want to achieve, and while setting them may be the easy part, making them happen can be even harder.

The most difficult part about goal setting is prioritizing them especially during moments where we fall off track. We all have deviated from our goals at one point or another, but the key is to restructure.

Remind yourself of what it is that you need to focus on and make it your priority. Whether you need to do 2-3 things each day to get yourself closer to that goal, or break your larger goals up into even smaller ones, keep showing up no matter how big or small, and the progress will follow.

#3. Practice mindfulness

As you’re working through some of your obstacles or setbacks, your mindset is key.

This can be as simple as starting your day off by practicing gratitude and writing down three things that you’re grateful for every morning. When you’re in a state of gratitude, fear and anger are no longer present. You’re in control of the flow of your own life and are destined to make what you want happen.

Life is full of the unexpected and so it’s essential that you give yourself some grace during the toughest of times.

#4. Determining the best regimen for you

It’s important to remember that everybody is different. What works for another person may not work for you, which makes focusing on your personal journey, your principles and your boundaries all the more important.

When you spend some extra time building the support team for yourself, setting and prioritizing your goals each day, and practicing mindfulness all along the way, you’re bound to be on a journey of success that you can feel fulfilled and proud of.
